Special Dance Programs
PCIPA is excited to announce SPECIAL DANCE Classes for children and adults with special needs.
“The limits of the possible can only be
defined by going beyond them into the impossible.” – Arthur C. Clarke
At PCIPA we believe that dance is nature's most beautiful and powerful gift to mankind. It allows us to express emotions and truly connect with our real self (bringing both body and soul awareness). It has the ability to break the emotional barriers, overcome seeming inabilities, and help raise confidence and self-esteem thus bringing to forefront the real joy of life.
Special Dance is a dance program designed for children and adults with special needs. Our goal is to bring the joy of dancing and learning into our classroom through a fun, creative and structured environment using Bollywood dance and song as a medium. We customize our teaching based on the needs of the student or group of students (we keep our group size small). While we focus and follow a structure in our teaching, we let unfold the many benefits of dancing through this class.
We use Bollywood music as our primary music in this class as it ranges from soulful compositions to feet tapping numbers. Bollywood beautifully blends the rich Indian traditional and folk music with modern music making it into an appealing music for all age groups and tastes. The soulful compositions make one want to get in touch with their emotions while the feet tapping numbers exude the upbeat energy making one want to dance letting them get in (re)touch with their inherent light and fun side. These classes teach and include:
